I recently picked up 40W CO2 laser from a friend that wasn't using it. The machine is a couple of years old and the software included is Moshidraw Left 9.9. Can this be upgraded to Moshidraw 2013? I believe the laser has the 105 board in it.

I'm running 2013 on a moshiboard 4.6 ( or 4.5) its been OK, 2012 seems more stable at some things, but has a lot less features that i wanted on 2013.

my tips would be

power cycle the laser for 10 seconds before use, see if the move works and if it doesn't cut a diagonal line from 0,0 (power it off again if it does)
dont use save /load MDR, import instead , load /save never seems to work for me.
in option screen on right side, i am using "Use MS10105 v3 or v4.x" option, that seemed to allow me to do full engraves.
don't edit much in moshidraw, just import and laser.

i did have problems doing dense engraves on 2013 and didn't 2012, but that option seems to have worked.

i've been using illustrator to export AI version 8's from eagle to do stencils. the only real issue i stil have is that strange diagonal cut the machine will do on boot sometimes


heres a stencil i just cut a few minutes ago, i'm still tuning power/speed and size of the pads.
