I can't seem to get a warm up program written and to run on 0m-a control.

I load it to the control in edit mode, swap to mem and hit cycle start, but nothing happens. the with the same procedure I have been running and testing macro code all day.
I tested a S500 M03, G04 P20000 in mdi mode and it works.

what am i doing wrong? is the format wrong?

Hi,

Your g-code is ok, you can try to add the first lines of a normal program if its still not running.
Some machines have to start from Z_zero-return point to start in Memory-mode, are you start from that point ?
In MDI mode you can start the spindle on any location.

thanks Heavy_Metal! you were right. and I also need to re-zero for each run of the program. just sitting on the zero position isn't enough to start the program a second time.
