    help newbie trying to get sketchup to work in cambam

    hi all i hope tis is the right place to post.
    i am just starting out in cad design and have drawn a part in sketchup installed the plugin to cambam for loading it. but every time i try to open the part in cambam it comes up with an error. their is an error in the xml document. if i just draw a square and load it it works fine but as soon as i put any more lines on the drawing i get the error code. any help would be appreciated.

    I had the same problem, here is how I solved it. The key is this plugin for the free version of sketchup: Convert Sketchup SKP files to DXF or STL | Download Sketchup plugin Use the plugin to output a STL file, and then process the stl file with cambam/meshcam/pycam or whatever suits you.
