I need help with Solidworks for a very simple task; How change the Smart Dimension of a basic Sketch. If I double click on the default dimension the Modify dimension dialog window does not popup. Hence, I go to Tools > Options >Left Tap > General; Right Tap > Input Dimension Value, then select OK. Still no Modify Dimension Dialog Window! What next? I'm really lost.

I'm assuming the dimension in question isn't driven, otherwise you should have gotten a pop-up stating that. Are you trying to change the dimension on the part file, or is the dimension on a drawing?

By the way, "Input Dimension Value" only affects new dimensions you are adding to a sketch, it doesn't affect existing dimensions.

try closing and save, re-open the file and select thru tree if any mods were made, right click on and select edit sketch-if you have planes added or other mods select entity check left pane for relations and correct dimms-or fully define where reqrd-all guess work without file or scrsht- :rainfro::rainfro::rainfro:
