Need laser for cutting plex only. Recs?

We don't need a laser to do any engraving at all. Just for cutting up to 1/2" thick acrylic (one pass) and for cutting THIN polycarbonate (0.020"). No wood. Nothing fancy. When we get large sign orders we'll run the machine for 100-200 pieces but a lot of the time it will be idle. So, don't need/want top of the line. What do you recommend?

    Hi Paul,

So i think there are many options for you to choose.

60W or 80W tube is ok for you.

Now you only need to decide the working Table size. We have 300x400mm,300x500mm,400x500mm,600x400mm,600x1900mm ,900x1200mm,900x1300mm,900x1400mm,1200x1500mm and so on. What do you like?

And,if you some time to cut many piece at same time, i recommend you use Dual head machine. They could cut fast at same time. What do you think?

Any questions, pls contact with me: [email protected] , or [email protected].

    Waitting for your any questions.

    Best Regards.

    Hi ,
For cutting 1/2" thick acrylic with one pass , Reci 100W or 150W is a good choice . 150W laser tube is professional in cutting acrylic .
As cutting 100-200 pieces one time , you need to confirm the table you need . We'd like to guide you if there is any doublts .

I'll second that. Tried it once, never again.

I have managed to cut 12mm acrylic on an 80W machine in a single pass but it was SLOW and the finish on the cut was not great. I think more air pressure would have helped so you may need to factor in the cost of a better air supply (compressor).
