Looks like a goofy gear, but hard to say for sure without seeing the .dxf

Also, I'd recommend using a free CAD program vs Sketchup. It's very possible that Sketchup is saving the size incorrectly. I'd recommend ProgeCAD Smart.

I looked at the .dxf, and it looks like your results are correct. And the diameter at the tip of the teeth is about 16.063.

I'd recommend using a free CAD program vs Sketchup.

I've known all along that SketchUp MIGHT be throwing me some curve balls since it doesn't even pretend to be a CAD program. But you know how it is. You get used to something and hate to climb a new learning curve. But thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely check it out.

That's good news. Furthermore I downloaded a different gear and SketchUp faithfully handled it. I think it's good to establish whether the program is worthy for the CNC hobbyist as a CADlike utility. I'm still gonna look at the freebie CAD you suggested.
