I see the chart for listed benefits for consumable life. How is the cut quality affected? What is the approximate cost of this upgrade? Are the new consumables more or less expensive?

The cut quality is better, if you look at the brochure you will see a comparison between the original 3070 torch and the upgrade HPR style torch using ISO9013 cut quality standards which determine edge squareness over the life of the consumables. What that means is that as you cut more parts with one set of consumables....the parts will remain more consistent, while with the original torch design you will see more degradation in cut quality as the consumables wear.
The upgrade kit is $1800.00, the consumable parts starter kit is $570.00. The consumables themselves cost slightly more than the original 3070 parts, but last 3 to 4 times longer, therefore they are far less expensive to use. Lower cost per foot of cut.
The only other way to get this level of performance would be to upgrade to the HPR130xd plasma system, which retails for around $32,000.
