    CNC 6040 no longer communicates with Computer!

    Hey guys, I'm having issues with my Chinese 6040 CNC Router. Everything was working fine up until recently.

    My issue is now I'm unable to manually move any of my axises through Mach3.

    My Spindle can still be controlled through my control box, but not my X,Y,and Z axises!

    * My Emergency Stop is off
    * E-Stop is reset on Mach3
    * Controls move on Mach3, but machine does not respond.

    I've rechecked my Pins and Ports settings, and everything appears to be properly set up, according to Mach3 instructions.

    My machine is wired via Parallel Port. Could this be a Parallel port issue?
    Before I start spending money on repairs, I just want to see if anyone else has experienced this type of issue?

    I apologize if this issue seems too simplistic...I'm still a newbie to the whole CNC world.

    Check the Offline button in Mach just to the left of Go To Zero

    Thanks rheine....I tried that, and still will not connect. I checked my Computer's BIOS, and it still reads the Parallel Port.

    My Controller box seems to function, as it still communicates with the spindle. Could it be the Parallel cable???

    Check the address of the port on your device list on the computer and make sure that is the one yo have selected in Mach.
