    Kmotion software questions

    I am using the kflop with a raspberry pi and then KMOTIONX open source software port and have a few questions.

    1. Under bin directory what sources are the "client" and "kflopconsole" compiled from?

    2. Does kmotionserver have any command line parameters? How to connect with it by socket? or tcp?

    3. What's the best binary to use for console control of the kflop from another program running on their same machine?

    Re: Kmotion software questions

    Hi madprinter,

    Regarding:

    #1 kflopconsole source is in the /examples/KFlopConsole directory

    client source is in the /examples/other directory

    #2 - see the comment:

    /* SJH - modified to listen to a TCP socket in addition to the unix domain (local) socket.
    Listens at port KMOTION_PORT (defined in KMotionDLL.h).
    FIXME: need to make this an argc/argv parameter.
    */

    It would be difficult to interface at this level.

    #3 - I believe the simplest would be to communicate like the KFlopConsole App does using the KMotionDLL library WriteLine() function and so forth.

    HTH
