    cnc masters and mach3

Does anyone know if mach3 willl work with a cnc masters jr mill? i know they use a usb plug in, but why wouldn't a usb to paralell adapter work in this case, to allow mach 3 to work with their controler?

It's not a real big deal, just that everyone tells me how bad their( cnc masters)software is, i haven't tried it yet, but i'm use to mach3.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I've already looked at another board with the 220 relay for the spindle motor, just that i wasn't sure how i'd deal with the inverter to the relay. i guess what i'm tryingto say is, i 'm stuck when it comes to the 220 wiring, eventhough, i've located the relay and breakout board, but the curve with the inverter threw me.

My original plan was to build a new controller using the geckos that are in this one, except , i'd change out the caps and the transformer, add heavier wiring, and wire in a star pattern..

i'd like to just fire it up the way it is and see what happens, but i want alternatives, like maybe using mach 3 and , i'm still wondering if the usb to paralell cable would work.
    thanks

A parallel to usb cable won't work. However, if the drives accept step and direction signals, you should be able to bypass their USB hardware and wire the parallel port directly to the drives, using a breakout board.

help with rewiring it has geckos but 220 an inverter

i figured as much. It has gecko drives, but it also has a single phase 220 motor with an inverter. Supposedly, It has a variable speed controller on this motor, but i think it's just software controlled, which i'm sure mach 3 has a similiar option.

I'm fine with wiring another board, just lost, when it comes to 220 and the inverter.
    any help appreciated.
    Thanks
