so simple but...I cant do it (2002 surfcam)

OK. So I designed a disc in solidworks, saved it as an .igs and loaded it into surfcam. The disc is a simple cut, I wanted to do a z finish pass just to zip the part out. (HDfoam) BUT, the cutter path wants to run on both sides of the surface and not ON top of the surface. I have all of the direction surface arrows in the right spot but.....? What am I doing wrong?

What does this mean? Sounds to me like you just want to do a 2D contour cut but you’re trying to do it in 3D. Can you attach the igs file for us to look at?

My bad, it is more of a 3D hubcap than a flat disc. I will post the .igs tonight.
