    fanuc to mach3

Hello I am planning to convert a 1983 Hitachi-Seki HC-500 horizontal machining center from a fanuc control to a more modern pc based control and I was thinking that I might use mach3 software. This aplication will recuire the pc and software to control multiple axis's and functions such as tool changes and pallet changes this will be a very interesting project:wave:

    Sounds highly I/O intensive!
How do you plan on handling all that I/O, it may be worth looking at an external PLC to handle it all.
