    Porter Cable style router bit collet taper in degrees?

    Hi,

    Does anyone know what the taper is on a Porter Cable style router bit collet?

    Also, are PC router collets the ER style of collet?

    There's a thread here from about 10 years ago where someone made their own PC collets, and it moght have the info you want in it.

    And no, PC and ER collets are very different.

    What type of collet are the Porter cable collets? Is there a specific name for that type - the type used on woodworking routers?

    They are Porter Cable collets. They only fit Porter Cable routers.
