I'm looking to buy a hopefully budget desktop cnc for 3 axis 3d milling of soft metals as well as engraving soft metals. problem is parts will be jewelry type sized items so parts and engravings will be quite small. I was wondering if the board had suggestions for machines I should be considering? I'm leaning towards something like a taig type cnc benchtop mill or maybe I would get a 2030 cnc router from china and upgrade the crap out of it but was wondering what expected tolerances would be from either of these machines and if one would be better than the other. any suggestions or direction would be appreciated.
