    Bobcat in the basement

    Hello
I just had to share these pictures.
A construction crew came into the shop yesterday to repair the rotten floor in the back warehouse. the first step was to scrape the old ashphalt off the rotten subfloor.
We all saw it coming and the general contractor assured us it wouldn't be a problem.
    Thankfully no one was hurt.

    Nice work!

Those little buggers are heavier than they look!

    I hope nobody was downstairs....

Once again some shows there ignorance. That bobcat 331 unit weights approx. 7500 pounds. I actually rent those units out. It always annoys me when some contractor knows all about them.. but in reality he doesn't have a clue.

You know they have to warn you....

... Because someone has done it before!

I came across this manual in a pile of spare parts I bought for my bobcat 975. This was just one of many illustrations of which you might otherwise think "nobody would be dumb enough to do that!"

    My favorites from the manual:
-a guy filling the gas tank with one hand and lighting the cigarette in his mouth with an oxy torch in the other hand

-A guy leaning out of the cab, putting half his body under a fully raised and loaded bucket

-Jacking up the bobcat from one side so that it is about to fall over onto his coworker, blissfully enjoying his lunch on the other side of the bobcat.

    -The classic: necktie-sucked-into-the-machine warning

My bobcat weighs over 12,000 lbs, so you won't catch me driving on anything but solid ground!
