Just wondering what others are running their thermal compensation % at
we normally turn off all thermal comp parameters on haas lathes
Why would you do that? We just got our lathe a couple weeks ago, and I am looking at trying to use it myself. It's a babysitting job watching the parts for the first hour or so while the machine warms up in the morning. And I don't always have time to do it. If it works, it would be of great help.
Some models of Haas machines have shipped with Thermal compensation active from the factory when not required. Please follow the steps < keystroke > below
1. Before changing any parameters you should backup your parameters
Insert floppy in drive press < LIST PROG > < PARAM / DGNOS > top of the display
Should show “ Parameter “ Type your < serialno.par > < F2 > to send to disk.
If your machine is not equipped with floppy drive go to step 2
2. Record write down the Parameter current values in the table below. Also check that you have the original factory parameter list printout in your manual. To search for parameters, Type the Parameter No. < > Cursor < ▼ > down
