    DENSO 4 axis robot servo

    Hi
New here today so thanks in advance for any help.
I have acquired a Denso 4 axis robot with no controller that I am planning to use to pick and place parts in a spot welding operation. I was going to use the MACH 3 controller system to operate this system. My question is how do i find out the specs - volts , amps and the like, for the servo drives so i can build the controller?

If your motors where steppers, then this page would be the answer:
    techref.massmind.org/techref/io/stepper/estimate.htm
but as this is for a servo system, that will give you the watts, but the selection of the drive is slightly different. You should check on the gecko-driver page:
    geckodrive.com/support/choosing-a-drive.html
James hosts the single best wiki page about steppers for CNC hobbyists on the net:
    http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/steppers.htm Disagree? Tell him what's missing! ,o)
