First off I'm new to CNC's so my apologies in advance.

I'm running BobCAD V25 with Predator CNC editor to a Haas TM-1. I'm using a USB to DB9 >>> DB9 to DB25 converter >>> null modem >>> 50' Serial cable >>> serial port 1

I have successfully sent a program and run it twice out of about 25 times. The problem is that when I send code, it'll send about 6% before a popup window appears saying "997 bytes written" and the transmission stops. At this exact same time the Mill has a 242 alarm. I looked up this alarm and cannot find 5+ digits or repeating decimals. On the Web I can only find others talking about restarting the machine and having better luck. I believe trying a shorter serial cable may help but here's the tricky part... If I unplug the serial cable from the mill and try to send code thru Predator (sending to air) Predator behaves the same way with the same popup. This leads me to believe it has nothing to do with the connection between the PC and CNC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
