    Symptoms of overheating Drivers?

Today my CNC ruined a job. Instead of cutting straight lines it cut wobbly lines. There might be a friction issue present that I am trying to sort out.

However, I also found that the power supply of my fans was broken and the stepper drivers were not cooled anymore. Could this be the reason why my cuting lines were messed up? I doubt it because the cut got messed up only a few seconds after it started and my workshop is 10°C cold.

    Pictures might help here.

I'm not sure how overheating drivers would cause a stepper to produce wobbly lines. Striction might as would a periodic error out of a bearing.

I started using 110 volt fans so that would not happen.
