Exclamation Announcing an affordable, ALL-SERVO CNC bed mill to be unveiled this Spring

Affordable (under $10K) ALL-SERVO CNC machine to revolutionize milling capabilities, scheduled for release in Spring 2013

NOVAKON, a leading North American provider of CNC bed mills located in Toronto, Canada, announces the release of its all-new machine after careful review of customer feedback and requests. Significant improvements to this latest milling machine, named PULSAR PRO, takes advantage of the most current technology, implementing features such as a Servo Spindle and Servo Axes in one of the most compact packages ever offered by the company.

These enhancements enable operators to perform Rigid Tapping and Rapid Feed Rates through an integrated Closed-Loop positioning system, maintaining absolute accuracy throughout the cutting process. With the optional Lever Draw Bar (LDB), tool changes can be a snap utilizing the Quick Tool Change (QTC) system.

With sloped drainage on the optional stand, combined with a coolant system which pumps 7 gallons through its double filtration reservoir, the PULSAR PRO maintains the ability for extended use with less contamination and better chip removal than any machine offered before.

Between April 12th-14th 2013, NOVAKON will showcase live demonstrations of this bed mill in York, Pennsylvania at Cabin Fever Expo, alongside their other revolutionary products. For a complete list of all the features and benefits of this machine, please refer to the list below.

Sounds awesome! Will the ATC/PDB be made to be compatible with the current mills by chance?

    ATC and PDB

Thank you for your favorable comment. We are very proud of our latest design and achievement in this new production.

In answer to your question, the ATC and PDB are also being developed for the Torus PRO. We will have the prototypes soon for testing and demonstration. These KITs will be designed for use with the NM-200 series and the Torus PRO alike. Stay tuned for more details to come!

Sounds like a considerable upgrade from the Torus Pro. Are you able to upload pics of the new machine? Also, will this be a replacement for the Torus Pro?

Based on the table size and work area, I would say it is a significant upgrade for the Torus, not the Torus Pro. Sounds like the servo option for the Pro is so popular, that it will now be available for the smaller machine.

    Z axis

    Thank you for your inquiry.

We will be releasing detailed segments over the next several weeks that will reveal the features of our newest Pulsar PRO CNC milling machine. In the mean time, we have attached the overall system drawings with dimensions to allow interested customers have a better idea on its physical size.

In answer your question directly, all axes are V-way dove tail and can be adjusted easily with the GIB adjusting screws.

It is our intent to release multiple details under a new thread that we will create on our Novakon forum very soon. Stay tuned for more to come......

From the drawing I see some improvements I like:

    1) one-shot oiler near the front - no need to walk around the chip tray to operate the lever.

    2) Way covers on the Y axis

    3) Chip cover on the Z

The lever tool changer looks interesting. I'd like to know how it works and if it could be retrofitted to the NM200.

    Pulsar PRO Production

    Thank you for your interest.

The new Pulsar PRO is now in production and will be available in about 90 days. It is a little early to order the machines, but If you send an email to [email protected],I will add you to the list of interested customers and keep you posted on the delivery date. We would also be more than happy to discuss personally more of the specifics of the new CNC mill and its other features and and available accessories.

Hope to see you at Cabin Fever!
