Replacing Fanuc Colour TFT to normal LCD screen

    Hello friends...
Can we change fanuc colour TFT to normal pc lcd monitor.
I have to change Fanuc Robodrill screen with 16M control having colour TFT screen.
The screen display is not good. Screen has millions of vertical lines because of which nothing we can see clearly ON screen.

    No, you cannot.
The lcd itself may be ok, the graphics module may be the problem. Find the graphics module info on the SYSTEM screen.

technically you CAN change the monitor by retro-fitting another PC LCD monitor. We have done several LCD retro-fits at my work but it is not a plug and play thing.
but yes, it sounds like a video card module problem not the monitor :-)

fordav11, the i-series does not have a vga connector, only the Hirose 31/41 pin lcd connector. You would need a lcd screen with the correct specs.

The control is 16M which usually comes with CRT.
But it is robodrill so they have connected colour TFT.
Their is big card behind the screen same the size of screen and same CRT and 24V connectors are connected on that card.

I presumed that the control is a i-series; the earlier controls had a video connector that may be signal compatible with a lcd monitor. We are developing a plug compatible replacement.
The Robodrill can have 16A, 16B, 16C or an i-series control. What do you have?

Then look at the control itself (yellow box with many cables, but NOT the servos) and look at the control identification , specifically the unit called MAIN (next to powersupply). On the bottom is the part # info.

yes I know it doesn't have a VGA connector. but someone could figure out the wires using some fancy equipment and hook it up (like we did :-)

We had a product for that and are working on it again. The sync signals are non-vga and don't always sync properly on standard displays.
