    Cam to gcode problem

    Hi everyone,

First off, I hope that this is the right forum for this question, and hopefully it's a common problem.

So, I made my first drawing in Qcad, then generated a tool path/gcode in sheetcam demo and I ended up with a huge circle for a tool path, as well as what I actually drew out in cad. I tried lazy cam thinking it was a sheetcam problem and it rendered the same results. So, I'm guessing it's a cad problem somewhere?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Most likely a G2/G3 mix up. I've seen this problem myself. Easiest was is to single step throiugh the program until it hits your crop circle, then fix the code.

Ok, that worked when I edited the g-code. It did not remove the "crop circle" in the tool path display however.

What should I look for to correct the problem when the code is generated?

    crop circle

    Sonicmook56,

    Maybe a standard/metric issue?

    Just a guess...

    Nick.
