    I am currently in the Lexington, KY area, but open to relocation, preferably south.

    TOOL DESIGNER / TECHNICIAN / MACHINIST

    OBJECTIVE:
    Seeking a position that will both utilize my strong experience as a Tool Designer and/or Machinist

    CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years tool, gage, jig & fixture design utilizing Catia V4, Catia V5, UGNX, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks
    • 10+ years machining experience in tool, gage, jig & fixture work on mills, lathes, grinders
    • Proficient in reverse-engineering techniques
    • Experienced in use of Vectoron portable CMM using both touch probe and laser scanner
    • Hands-on experience in adjustment/repair/modification of jigs and checking fixtures
    • Named on US Patent #7040190 B2, Laminated Shift Fork Assembly



    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing -- Georgetown, KY 2006 - Present
    Quality Technician - Bodyweld
    • Support new vehicle launch -- dimensionally qualify weld tooling and jigs utilizing Vectoron portable CMM, comparing jig pins and datum block locations to automotive body IGES data
    • Adjust jigs as required based on laser scans of welded automotive sub-assemblies and CMM data
    • Repair IGES data as required using various CAD programs
    • Modify existing jig details utilizing mill/lathe/grinder
    • Fully document weld jig condition utilizing custom Excel formatted workbook
    • Ability to program and teach Nachi and Kawasaki weld robots
