I was wondering if anyone has a spare Dyna 2800 Escap 1.8 deg/step stepper motor they want to sell? :violin:

What size is the motor? They are industry standard sizes and mostly interchangeable electronically as long as you get the correct current rating.

Any luck finding a replacement motor? I'm looking for one also, to put on my 4th axis.

Yes and no, if i want to fulfill a minimum order of 20 pieces I can have Portescape make them for me but that is obviously cost prohibitive.

Here is the email from the vendor if you find an alternative let me know.

    Hello Jim,

I also tried calling and left you a voice mail. For p/n P582-508-B-11 (or -00) the factory has advised there is a 20 pc minimum and a 23-week leadtime. I know you only really needed 1 pc.

Do you still want them to quote with this order min and leadtime?

Post pictures of whatever you have, I'm sure there is an alternative you can just bolt on.

    Guys

Almost all stepper motors are standard mechanical sizes. Nema 23, 34 etc. In each mechanical frame size, there are a plethora of standard wiring configurations, torque ratings, etc. There is no reason you need the exact same motor. A similar motor will perform equally well.

For example: Lin Engineering - Step Motor Specialists

I am sure you could call and get some help on which motor would work best for you.
