Need a quick answer on 3MT collet.

    Hi all,

I need to get some 3MT collet for my X2 mill. I could get the set from littlemachineshop but I can get the same set at half price on ebay. Are all 3MT collets (Metric or imperial) has the same threading for X2 draw bar? Need to know before I buy any on ebay. Thanks.

Just figure out what you have and then send/ask the seller a question. I think they could be either way. I would bet that originally they only came in english/imperial but they could come in metric now, but who knows? That is why I would double check.

I am also sending a question to the seller. But that may take time, I need a fast answer from this wonderful forum.

I already have the metric set I got from Sieg. But since alot of tools I need are from the states and they are in imperials, I need to get the collet for these tools.

One tool I particularly need is a 1-3/8 dovetail cutter with 5/8 shank. I need the 5/8 collet. Ebay is selling at half price but not sure if the drawbar on my X2 will fit these collets?

    Hope that is clearer. Thanks
