Hello.
I have some sgdb-10vd servopacks which are not recognized by sigmawin+. I have tried several versions of software but it never works. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? BR
Version 5.75 supports SGDB-***D drives, which should include your SGDB-10VD. Is your serial port properly configured and working?
Hello citizenofdreams Thank you for taking the time for me. I have a 10VD servopack and other ADGs which are recognized by sigmawin+ and VDs which are not. So the cable is not the problem. I was thinking about generations of servopacks or they have a problem. However, they work very well when I use them with the digital operator. BR
Strange. Does the working 10VD have a different firmware revision compared to the non-working units?
The RS232/RS422 driver/receiver in the servopack could be bad. I believe the digital operator uses its own Rx line (CN3 pin 5), so it may work fine even if the receiver Rx inputs are bad (CN3 pins 3, 4).
Does your serial cable have Rx/Tx LED lights you can watch?
This servopack connect SGDB-10VD 8P0535-8B-18 REV.E03
This servopack don't connect SGDB-10VD 8P0535-8C-50 REV.E03
They are very close technical, perhaps the same.
The communication between the drive and the digital operator is carried out via an RS232 link. So the driver/receiver in the servopack is good.
I can't see my error.
My serial cable doesn't have Rx/Tx LED lights.
Strange. Maybe those servopacks have custom firmware that only works with some special version of SigmaWin? Did they come from an unusual place such as military surplus?
The only thing I can suggest is to intercept the RS232 traffic and see what the servopack is saying to SigmaWin.
It is the same firware : 00A for both.
To intercept RS232 traffic i had to build a connector, it will take a little time.
Thank you for your help.
Hello. I tried to turn the 1SW button and now even the digital operator no longer recognizes the drive. I have the message CPF00. An idea??
Does anyone know what this button is for?
I checked the DB9 connector. No problem. the CPF00 msg arrived after touching the 1SW button. Is this drive possessed??
Could be possessed, could be cursed, could be zapped by static electricity. I have seen a PLC serial port burn out when someone connected an ungrounded laptop to it.
If your SGDB-10VD servo-packs are not recognized Retro Bowl by SigmaWin+, check software compatibility, hardware connections, driver installation, correct COM port, and firmware update, and refer to the user manual or Contact Yaskawa technical support for further assistance.
