I went through the Mach3 webpage but didn't see anything about student pricing. Does anyone know if Mach3 offers student pricing?
Thanks,

I wouldnt think so, I mean its only like $125.00 anyways isnt it? Wouldnt think they could really go much lower.
Lots of software sells for less than $125 in their student edition. Adobe Acrobat is $300 list and $59 student. Autocad is $4000 and only $150 in student edition. Even Rhino is $800 full price $175 student. The point is that for the student $125 is a lot of money; but if they learn using the software, when they move out into the working world they will be a perfect customer and will likely share their knowledge with others. I am sure Artsoft could sell its software to students for as little as $40 and have it pay off for them in the end.
What you could try doing is going to the mach website and get Art's email. He deals with the top end of Mach. He could probally work it out for you. I know with the software we sell (CAD/CAM) we offer student pricing. I just wasnt sure with Mach being so in expensive but you have a good point so try emailing Art.
Mach is free to use for up to 1000 lines of g-code. that's even better than student pricing.

I'm a student and I got along just fine with the 1000 line limit. I recently purchased a license with some of the proceeds from kit sales. For $160 I think it's really a great deal. Considering the development and support time for the product is high, and the targeted market is somewhat limited, it's reasonable to expect the software to be in that price range, if not higher.
