Heck yes run coolant. Running dry is just gross, and hazardous. Even with a shop vac, you still smell it and fell it on your skin. I like to leave the previus chips in the pan also, which is...
As mentioned before, Onsrud makes an Awesome cutter for this situation. I believe it's the Super O single flute series. Carbide, polished and razor sharp. We would climb cut .125 thick delrin and...
I've never heard of a Haas with locking doors, but the Setting 51 controls the Door Hold override which stops the spindle when you open the doors. What are you trying to achieve? HTH
That NT looks sick! Is that with the capto or hsk spindle
Cant help you with your query, but how about some pics?:)
Man that must have been a great day when that truck pulled up. You all up and running now?
Nothing like some aggravation relief
Run the Probe Bore Cycle again, but Dont enter a work offset, just the diameter, just in case the bore isnt at X0Y0.
After the cycle has ran,
Press 'Current Commands'
page down 3 times
enter...
Is there a remote possibility you have a feed rate with no decimal point? Considering this large program was posted and has been running, I doubt it left out a decimal, but it's had me stumped...
I was having strange things happening with my probe the other week. Mine errored out, but my loc-line was blocking the probe line of sight at different z heights, but your prgram is still running so...
Unfortunately, the Haas will not peck tap within one line of code. You'll have to create another operation with your 2nd depth in it.
As for speeds, I tap 1/4 - 20 roll taps in aluminum ,75 deep...
Nope, that's the way it is. It's for the benefit of the machine.
Well, I'd hate to admit this but...the stupid Loc-Line was blocking the transmission line of sight (chair) Thanks
I'm having a heck of a time getting my Spindle Probe and Tool Setter calibrated. I'm using the built in macro calibration templates. Here's what I'm doing.
1: Calibrate the OTS. Load a .375 guage...
Pleeease.....Somebody! :D
All the time. Run in at 1000rpm and out at 2000. Within .02 of the hole bottom. I bet alot of people run faster, but I'm comfortable at 1000 rpm

Hey Toby, what's that manifold on the back wall of your machine?
+1000 2nd week of having out VF2, accidently hit the tool release button and watched the probe dive from the spindle:nono: into the table.
Call your dealer. Over and Over Again. Better yet, GO to your dealer. :D
I'm planning on using a .03, and .02 carbide endmills on my table tool setter in my VF-2 and the feed rate seems awfully high for that small of a tool. Seems like it may chip at that initial feed...
Oops, sorry Geof, I meant panaceabea:D
well Geof, the machine should be here by now. Any updates install pics?
What caused the fire?
Well then, instead of that question...the manual says connect to serial port 1 to send/receive. I take it the top port is port 1? I cant find it in the manual.
Wait, nevermind, I didnt realize I just have to count the pins, and the diagram was showing me the direction they are numbered. OOPS. Still wakin up!
So I'm looking in the Haas manual, for the RS-232 wiring. It gives me the location og ground PIN-1, but the diagram lists wires as pin 2-red, pin 3-black, pin 7-green, and points to the connector as...
Right on man. That was sick stuff. Is that a CT50?
