You are correct in that assumption - but the rack can be set with the eccentric bushing to be very close in tolerances . for my applications if its out a bit on the CNC rigs its a minor issue . all...

Yes Kenny that is correct but it isn't 100% necessary , It will function just as good without it . the headstock and carriage support is really all that is needed
