Found a old 1991 VF1 locally ,its not in bad shape but does have a Com board problem
But the machine works. Just have to enter the programming manually

Here is another thought.
Up the resin to 15% by volume.
Add chopped fiberglass fibers to the mix.
Parked the car on them. Figure 800 pounds each tire.
Smashed to pieces with a hammer, car did nothing to them.
Did not take too much effort to smash them.

I bought it the day I needed to get my 12X48 Grizzly lathe out
of the moving truck when I moved. That thing weighs about 1000 pounds....

Is it possible you have the galil card or somewhere
in the configuration set to Stepper?
Are your servo drives PWM or analog?
If you have it set to stepper it may just be showing
open loop...
