I have owned (2 ) rotary phase converters for over 10 years , Static can be built for cheap not sure about long range quality, but never had a problem with rotary.

Thanks for the reply , I just got a proximity switch in but havn't installed. I can take the power supply off the computer rack . Your thinking maybe the power from the other cabinet...

Not sure if you can notice but I recessed the cavity deeper in sections of o-rings and spun some .100 dia. bosses in few areas to help keep from sucking down . the o-rings only collapse .01 works out...
