I have two (2) weldon endmill sharpeners that a highschool robotic team students dissembled to "see" how they worked. I need to reassemble them. The bearing has been removed from the frame. I had...
I have a Leadwell from the late '80s. I've ask FANUC in US, they do not have the sheet with options for my controller. Since Leadwell TW doesn't have the build sheets for older machines, the only...
I do have to say, FANUC support in the US is extremely helpful when we have an issue with an old OM system which doesn't have support contract on it. I've spent a large amount of time figuring out...
This is a complex issue, dependent on jurisdiction. In the EU, things you purchase, like license keys (intangible goods), MAC addresses on phones and computers, any kind of serial number is...
One brief update:
After speaking with Chris Hanson at Campat, he explained the grid shift parameters (508-511) are "always on" for my machine. During home operation, the fanuc controller senses...
I was sent a chapter from a leadwell manual explaining the alignment procedure. The manual was in Italian, I translated it to english and placed it in word. The zip file is attached to this post
Well, we should clarify...
Fanuc is no longer associated with GE.. Fanuc America is a private company along with others, its more like a franchise today.
Since publishing purchasing...
As an FYI: Under EU law, All purchased equipment and software information including serial numbers, product keys and feature codes are considered personal and private information owned by the...
Hi zavateandu
That G30 definitely does not blink the ZRN on this machine. I wish it did. Maybe a different year works, sadly not mine.
I moved both the hard limit dog and the home dog about...
@zavateandu
Thank for the details :) If G30 is used for tool change (M06), why is G91 G30 Z0 turning off ZRN ? Everything I read is ZRN is supposed to stay lit (true) when G91 is executed.

Hi,
We are nearly at the end phase 1 for getting a '93 leadwell OP with fanuc OMF. "We" are a zero-cost, non-profit teaching high school student robotics, mechanical design and cnc. We no...
From help from CAMPAT and fanuc, I was told to use either parameters 510 (z-axis grid shift) or 737 (REF2Z- distance from reference point to second reference point) and setting using [G91, G28, Z0]...
Hi
We have a Leadwell MVC-0P/fanuc (found in a ditch) which I'm trying to get working. We are a nonprofit mentoring highschool students in building robotics.
I'm trying to get the tool...
Just a quick update:
Thanks to Bruce at Tristarcnc, the "program protect" key must be in the OFF position to change the Diagnostic parameters.
Thanks Tristar
Hmm it seems any partial disclosure of options falls under copyright "fair use". Fair use wasn't tested until 2010, a few years after this thread started. Digitizing/scanning a manual falls under...
Hi,
I'm recovering from lost parameters on a '93 Fanuc OMF used in a leadwell mcv-0p. I cannot get the diag parameter, like oil pump timers (D345, D350), set from the mdi. I have the key switch...
I've created an incomplete spreadsheet with MCV-OP Fanuc OMF parameters borrowed from my manual, a downloaded manual, some hints from a campat, and member 008, who all helped getting our MCV-OP past...
Update: The 400 was in part two issues, the first software overrun and a broken wire in the damaged and repaired servo.
The overrun was caused by an improper value in the 8x84, 8x85 parameter...
A quick update...
The 400 overload is another parameter issue. Bruce @tristar (fanuc expert) explained 400 software alarm means "the NC cannot process parameters", not a servo amp alarm. Depending...
Thanks Tristar..
I'm doing this to get this up and running and document gaps which others on this forum and other places have asked without answers. Most get parameter and diag files for serial...
Hi All,
Maybe someone could help me out. I have a '93 leadwell mill with 10000 ppr resolvers that lost is memory and not been in use for many years. I have no experience with leadwell or fanuc....
I received the files from 008, but we realized we didn't have a working serial port cable in this day is USB.
Just to let everyone know the 4X7 parameter alarms were caused by an invalid, and...
Hi 008
Can you please post them to this thread ? Or I'll dm with my email address.
THANK YOU !!

Hi All
I'm just giving an update.. I still haven't resolved the servo parameter alarm, I'm suspect it's either operator error on the servo setting process or something is broken..
I have a...
@drdos
Thanks for the help. I've downloaded the fanuc manuals, It'll take me a days to read thought them just to get a lay of the land.
I've been in contact with CAMPAT, they are great and so...
@drdos Thank you for the help. Oddly, the servo amp has 4 outputs.. It is supposed to support 4 axis, the servo parms are between 81xx and 83xx. Maybe 60xx is for axis 4 on this machine..
I'm more concerned why I don't see the 6000 series parameters in the list.
I wish I had better documentation on leadwell/fanuc basics and training.
Roger,,, Thanks
I started setting the memory manually.. And, found out there is a short in the M3 cable keeping the #6 key stuck on.
I was able to get through nearly all settings except...
