Hi Darryl,
From what you are saying am I right to assume that Doosan techs are not trained to rebuild spindles in the field? They remove the complete headstock and send it in for spindle rebuilds?...
It's usually a limit switch, tool clamped, no tool exist, unclamp switch etc. When you hit cycle start for the spindle in MDI mode is there any alarm? Try hitting display change and page down to...
Do you have the operator's manual that explains all of this? I can send you one if you don't have it. Here's what I found.
"OEM programs
PLC program, MSGFILE program, CFGFILE program, STPFILE,...
What is the Mori lathe model you need the zero return procedure for z-axis?
I doubt the magazine procedure will work for setting the z-axis. I have attached one for a CL series lathe with MSC-803 control. I might have a better copy but this should work.
Do you have the tool you are calling up registered in the tool data page?
The attachment below will help you troubleshoot your problems better than I can explain. See section #4.
It's hard to troubleshoot without knowing which drive you have. Check the obvious, incoming power on R,S,T, inputs and check for blown fuses. What machine, control and SDU drive?
I believe this machine has box way slides. If you are having trouble holding size on diameters I would check z-axis gibs and x-axis ball screw/support bearings. If having trouble holding size on...
You probably need to reference the turret and the step by step instructions are written below. If you are familiar with this control, you need to get the turret indexed and clamped on station 12,...
When you spin the spindle by hand do you see any rpm on the screen? If not you need to check the feedback timing belt and the wire connections.

Attached are FAC-1R troubleshooting procedure and some prints.
What you are seeing is probably coolant residue coating the fan, especially if you use high pressure coolant. Keep all of the fans clean, like on the heat sinks for your drives and any motors. You...
Check the output of your power supply. From memory you need at least 23.2 Volts DC to power up the CRT.
Here are the parameters for the early Hardinge VMC 1000 with the Fanuc O controls. The parameters will be different for the 18, 21, 0i etc controls. I should have a list for those too.
To Enable...
When you run your program you will see an arrow pointing up ^ on the line that the machine is going to finish that move, and then you will see 2 arrows on the "look ahead" >> where the chamfering...
Try hitting "end" after loading the parameters and before you power down.
Thank you!
Glad it worked out. When you say it was 3204 and the last bit are you talking about bit 7 on the far left?
Check parameter 3204 bit 2. I am not sure if this control is similar to the power-mate controls but a "1" in that parameter bit will give you C-Edit with more soft keys for the symbols that are not...
Did someone accidentally hit the machine lock button?
I can't answer that but I would think it would be. Glad I could help.
I sent you an email 2 days ago, did you get the manual?
The 9000 programs are probably hidden. I think it's parameter 3202.4 (NE9) for 9000 and 3202.0 (NE8) for 8000 programs.
You lift it from the right side of the machine. There are fork pockets in the base and you will need 80 inch long forks. Hope this helps.
I tried to private message you but you have it blocked to not receive messages. I can email you a copy of the manual.
Check your 1 amp fuse on the I/O module. There should be a green light on. The first message is a hard over travel and will not let you clear e-stop. Is z-axis actually on the hard limit switch? ...
PM sent.
You should have a PMC alarm 1003 "turret unclamped. You need to look at 20PRS prox switch. It's under a cover with 8 bolts. Replace this switch and set the gap at .030" from the index plate with...
