I like this software so far. I have tried other demos but this one seems to "work like I think" more than most.

Before I plunk down the dollars, though I have a few questions if someone would be so kind.

This should export Gcode that will work with pretty much any machine controller app? I am probably going with LinuxCNC but Mach3 could happen as well.... as long as you are exporting/importing Gcode it doesn't much matter? (Once you get everything configured for compatability anyway.)

CamBam lets you draw in 2.5D, which is great and as intuitive as I've found. My understanding is that you can still import and generate toolpaths for 3D "stuff" with CamBam, you just can't generate 3D objects in the software directly?

What software(s) make the best low cost 3D "Sister app" for CamBam?

Ohh, and one more.... I notice CamBam includes support for CutViewer or some such... Gcode simulation program. Is that really needed? You can preview the cutter actions in LinuxCNC right on the cut screen.... I guess I am missing the utility of it?
