    Wire order for Powermax 2?

    Hello,
    I do the airplane design and my father helps out with the CNC.
    We're stuck on getting the wire order right for the board.
    Let me know any information you may need to help.

    The photo: DSCF5805.JPG (bottom right)
    Is the wire colors which show no resistance when connected to each other.

    Thanks!
    Steve

    Using your photo (link below) use the wiring for the left hand stepper for 6 lead unii-polar connection.

    Wiring:
    A = A on driver
    B = a on driver
    +Voltage = Common on driver
    C = B on driver
    D = b on driver

    Hope this helps.

    Steve:

    Where did you get the wire connector (pic 2 and 3)for the Powermax II

    Yes close thanks. It is the motor wire order.
    Here is more specific:

    We are not sure how to wire Powermax II Model P21NSXC-LSS-NS-03 Step motors for the 4-lead bipolar parallel connection shown in your installation bulletin.
    Our Question:
    Are the windings brought out physically in number sequence 1 to 8 or 8 to 1 or actually as shown on your diagram, which would be
    perhaps 6-2-5-1-8-4-7-3

    6&5 are A, 2&1 are B, 8&7 are C, and 4 &3 are D
    or
    6&5 are A
    2&1 are A-
    8&7 are B
    4&3 are B-

    You can't wire it bipolar with a HobbyCNC board. Unipolar only.

    Oops. I thought they were wiring it for another board. Good catch, Ger.

    if you look at the 4th picture from the bottom (dscf5803.jpg) it show how to wire parallel.
    A = black & white/org
    -A = orange & white/black
    B = red & white/yellow
    -B = yellow & white/red
