Has anyone seen the redesigned TL1? We were told by our HAAS rep that we only had a few weeks to get an order in for the old style before the completely redesigned new style came out. Apparently it has lost the manual controls and the full enclosure is no longer optional. We went ahead and ordered the old style because we wanted the manual capability but wondering if we might have made a mistake?

Yeah that 3.000 bore is kinda nice. But the kicker is the 3k spindle, which is mandatory when 5c turning. 2k just isnt enough. I made an enclosure to house my dorian nvit , but it still doesnt guarantee a dry operator. I guess the full enclosure is some were north of 3k$

Hey Ken do you know how to increase spindle speed? I think its a multiplier for the max spindle speed and frequency. Standard speed is just too slow for 5c work!

Yes, increasing the speed is dead easy. Haas offers a 3k spindle option, just buy that.

Can parameters be altered in order to change from 2000 to 2400 rpm by changing freq and Smax? As I did for my TM which didnt need a new spindle?
