    Threading problems

I had an oops today trying to do some threading.

    Here is what I did.

I did all of this in 1 program, 3 blocks

1 block. Center drill .125 deep
2 block drill through a piece of 5/8 sq bar
3 block. Tap a .25 tap in a floating tap holder

When the tap started to thread the drilled hole, about 1/4 of the way through it started to slip. I hit the feed hold button nothing happened!!!! The z axis was still going down. I had to hit the e-stop to keep it from crashing .

Does it always continue motion with the tap cycle ?
