    Stepper motor rpm

    Hi all,could anyone tell me what the max reliable rpm would be with this set up.link below.I'm building an 8x4 plasma and trying to work out gearing so knowing the max rpm would help me loads.【German Ship Free Ship】4AXIS NEMA23 Stepper Motor 425oz IN 3A Wantai CNC MILL | eBay

    It's impossible to say. There are a ton of factors that influence the max rpm. Just changing the acceleration rate will change the max rpm that you'll be able to get to.

    What kind of a machine will you be using them on?

    My cnc router parts 49x96 with 960 oz in low inductance steppers and 49 vdc run 1000 + rpm with no problem ( 3.2 to 1 reduction ) one rev = 1 inch travel...
