So you mean I should create the subprogram in something like Mastercam X Editor or Cimco, but not directly from Mastercam?

To further my confusion, I read an article say that on Fanuc the subprogram has to be an external one to be called by M98. Is it true? And I don't seem to be able to find this option on MasterCam X5.
