  1. Re: Lots of small pieces getting stuck in honeycomb

Since the work piece is 1/8" Birch, I do have a little issue with warping of the sheet itself. I think the pin idea is AWESOME though. Are there ways to flatten the worksheet onto pins?

    Re: 150 W RECI laser

    If you're doing 1/2" plexi I would use between a 2" an 4". probably a 4"
  3. Lots of small pieces getting stuck in honeycomb

I cut VERY intricate pieces out of wood/matboard. 1000s of cuts for every piece, and each of those pieces can range from being a small 1/8x1/8" square up to weird larger sizes. I'm having issues with...

Should be like this. Also keep in mind that if the last mirror has it coming in at an angle, the beam will go wonky through the...
  6. Re: Another K40 newbie that needs helps (beam focus issues)

Make sure your lens is put in the right direction. The rounded side goes up.

Also check the alignment on a TON of parts of your bed. Whenever I see ghosting like this, it's due to the alignment...
  7. Re: Laser Cutting Speed Comparison - How do Chinese and Top Brands Compare?

My opinion has always been: Buy 3 Chinese lasers instead of 1 USA laser. I just purchased a 12x18" laser from china for $2500. The smallest Epilogue is what.. $12,000? If the quality it close or as...

    Converting a laser from 220v to 110v

We are hoping to convert a 220v laser to 110v. I know the Laser Power Supply can be switched easily to 110V as well as the control Power Supply. Are there any other things I would need to change? It...

Re: HOW MUCH AIR IS NEEDED FOR AIR ASSIST

I've been trying to find a solution to this as well. I got the largest aquarium pump I could find it I feel like it still is barely pushing any air out of the nozzle of my Rabbit laser.

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

    Update here:

New drivers have the X and Y up and running, however they move in the opposite direction. Very strange because the drivers are the same model as the old ones. No wires have been...

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

I was able to get the Y axis to run on the the Z axis driver, so I suspect the XY drivers went bad. Got replacements coming and I'll report back after I try it

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

    Oray,
Can you move the laser head with your hands easily when the machine is turned on? If not, your driver power supply might be dead.

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

No loose wires. Suppose I'll try a new driver, but it seems odd that two of the 3 drivers would go at the time time.

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

    Hey Jon,
I think I understand what you mean. I moved my Z axis to the Y Axis control slot on the Leetro board and voila, the Y-axis on the control pad now moves the Z axis. I think this confirms the...

    Re: X-Y axis don't move, Z does

Took the cover off the Leetro controller and when I try to jog X and Y a light comes on, which leads me to think that is OK.

I swapped the Z axis driver wires with the Y axis and it doesn't move...

    X-Y axis don't move, Z does

I've got a 36x48" Chinese laser that's been working OK for a couple years now. Right now, it turns on fine and can download programs fine. You can jog the Z axis normally, but the X-Y axis don't do...

I currently own a 4x8' Boss laser running 170w. It's great and can cut 1/2" wood decently... but it has 2 main problems: Power and Speed. We cut 1/4" plywood all the time, but the machine can't move...
