Thanks Warren_3Deee. I have the 1100 and I'm looking into getting the lathe. How do you like the lathe? Did you get it with the turret?

Thanks Warren_3Deee. I have the 1100 and I'm looking into getting the lathe. How do you like the lathe? Did you get it with the turret?
Jeff, do you end up buying a lathe? Dod you buy it through Studica? Or directly through Tormach?

Hello all, I'm in the market for a Tormach lathe, and before I go buy a new one, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone is selling one or knows of anyone selling one. Any help would be greatly...
+1 for the more detailed explanation.
I just ordered a bunch of stuff from ebay to try this out. Hopefully it works well and is accurate enough.

Nope. Only metric and imperial thread sizes.

I'm pretty sure it only moves the G00 lines (rapid moves) while the spindle gets up to speed. It will wait at the G01 move if the spindle isn't at speed yet. This was one feature I really like on...
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to manually slide it up to 100% every time I start up PathPilot.

I finally updated to v1.9.2 and all is well, except, my Jog % is 40% every time I restart. Does anyone know how to change this by default? I had a brief look in some of the files in the TMC/config...
That's a great idea. Maybe I'll get some more laser cut and put them up on ebay or something.
Adam
Yes, both the front and back are bent down 90' to fit behind the accordion cover. You could try a thicker sheet.
Adam
Thanks. I don't recall how thick the sheet is. Maybe 0.030"?? Sometimes chips will get up under the one piece closest to the table as it has a bit of a bow in it. It's really easy to clean, most...
This is what I came up with to cover the y-axis bellows. They are made from stainless steel that I had laser cut. They are installed over top of the bellows using the same mounting holes as the...
Yes, it will be a huge improvement over Mach3. It already is. The pendant works way better, the trajectory planner is way more efficient. It is just better build IMO.

If you were using the conversational page to program the thread mill, and you haven't upgraded to V1.6, you may want to. It lists the left hand instead of right hand threads as a bug fix.
Direct...
I would leave it until you are 100% sure you won't run into the jaws yourself. I cut both of my jaws 2 weeks ago while in a hurry. DOH!!
I don't remember what the message said, but it was clearly an error message. Something like the update didn't work and so I had choose the 1.5 update again. Then it worked.
Also, I've only used...
I also installed the update and had an error message, but, If you look at the bottom right hand corner next to the PathPilot logo, you can see the version # - V1.5

Exactly why it took me 2 hours to figure it out. There was just enough friction that the tool didn't fall out.
I figured out the problem. I left the power draw bar on. :o
Thats 2 hours of my life I won't get back, but, It was also an easy fix, once I figured it out.
I was in the middle of a program that I ran a couple of times earlier today, and after a tool change, the spindle won't power on. I'm in the middle of reading the manual. In the trouble shooting...
Has anybody tried Mach 4 on their PCNC? I curious if anyone knows if Tormach has plans to offer a PCNC version?
I had a lot of the same questions about buying a used machine vs a new Tormach and found that a new Tormach made the most sense for me. I live just north of Toronto if you would like to see my...
I did buy the automatic oiler. I can't imagine living without it. 1 less thing to have to worry about.
Adam
Keen, I made these because when I used the superfly cutter, I was getting the curly steel chips as well. This keeps the chips out of the bellows, but it still does need some attention, but not near...
I had some stainless steel laser cut and it's just offset bolts in the slots and the covers slide independently. It's worked good so far. They sometimes get a little crooked but straiten themselves...
I thought for a long time about this and came up with a solution for my problem. When I was using the fly-cutter, big curly chips would get stuck in the y-axis bellows and they even started to...
I was thinking about buying the Tormach USB M-Code I/O Board - 32616 - USB M-Code I/O Interface Kit. I was wondering if anyone has bought one and if they have had any problems. Let me know your...
This new product from Tormach looks like it would be a great fit for this project. It looks like it would take a lot of the guess work out and keep the waranty.
Make Custom M-Codes with our USB...
I have the passive probe too. I also use it to set the xyz of my parts. I would like to be able to use it for more advanced things, like the size of a hole or the length of a part. Does anyone...
