Congrats I bet you'll love it!
Nolan is excellent and who I bought my Thunderlaser from. Bryngelson Nolan can help you if you need more details or purchasing information.
That's a great explaination but to the Op they are calling these servo motors. While storen gives a technical explaination above. Storen are you saying even us servo motors are not technically servo...
So here is the deal with the servo that thunder uses vs stepper I really like my thunder laser but you are limited by the controller as to the speed you can get. You can go as fast as you want but...
It's likely the tube or power supply then I'd call universal
Out of focus, dirty mirrors, laser out of alignment. I'd check all of those.
It migh be the glue, mdf has a lot of glue in it, which might be heating up when the flame cuts through.
Depends on the version you get with each rdworks v8 also called laser works well imports old illustrator files fine. Just export as illustrator 8 in your newer software, and import into rdworks.
...
You should contact whoever you bought it from this is getting pretty peculiar
Definitely fix the arching first. I hope the silicon fixes it for you.
Ken this is an arch as other have said. Question is this a home made laser? Bizarre to see plexiglass over the tube instead of a metal casing.
Have you fully insulated everything as other...
Get an electrician to examine the machine. A lethal amount of power comes out of those power supplies, if it's grounding somewhere you could be in for quite a shock, or at the very least fry some of...
To the reviewer who posted third thanks for the insights the tube mounting thing is fairly common from what I've seen of less expensive machines but the missing bolts, door falling off, and the thin...
Looks really nice
LOL its domestic for all purposes, yes assembled in Austria support and warehouse in USA. When people talk about domestic lasers Trotec epilog and universal are what they ate talking about
That's great for you but when I look at their site that laser doesn't even include a basic water chiller. That's a great price you got! How do you like it?
I like my thunder laser you are going Chinese. If you want a USA laser I like Trotec. Whatever you buy, avoid sub $5000 lasers, they are guaranteed junk. A decent laser will cost you $5000+ delivered...
Excellent tips from Gfacer2 I second everything he said here. Best to contact your manufacturer if you need info on how to adjust the auto-focus. Also play with different speed settings you might be...
Did it end up being alignment of the third mirror or what ended up being the issue? Curious to hear the solution you came to?
Sounds like you bed is uneven. Try measuring from the head to the bed in all 4 corners and then the middle. If any of those corners are different then your bed is not aligned, if the corners are the...
Doubt you're going to get much traction on this. Not many people are going to have an power supply with the cover off laying around to take a picture of the inside. Your best bet might be a google...
So this will be my final update unless something changes or someone has a question. I'll try to wrap it all up.
In the three weeks since we received the first replacement tube we have been...
I would agree his budget is too low for a decent import as well.
Boss glowforge full spectrum these are all Chinese made lasers US support. I thought you said you didn't want a Chinese laser?
Your budget is completely unrealistic. You said you want to stay away from Chinese lasers. Domestic lasers start at $15000 and up. Might be able to get a used domestic laser for $6000-$8000.
Congrats I like my thunder laser as you've probably read from my posts I think you'll love it!
Gold foil is typically not used on lasers you'd typically use a rotatry or heat stamp device.
Does not seems like a reasonable budget to me. May also want a rotatry if these objects you are marking are curved like cups or mugs
I would suggest you read the forum posts on G Weike and other laser makers, do searches. Might be surprised what you find good and bad. I hope you find something that fits you well!
Ahh price includes shipping that makes sense now. So if you say minus the shipping $250 and minus the 2 rotatries (estimating $500) you're looking at $5549 - $750 = $4799 for the machine itself. That...
