what the on and off settings are

DIR+ and PUL+ tap together and connect to DSP +5V
DIR- to DSP DIR-
PUL- to DSP PUL-

Ok i got the light back on. When i push the test button the light gets brighter but still not getting any beam

the fan is running in the power supply. Not sure if the light should be on or not. when the machine comes on it flashes red for a sec then goes out. When i push the test button it does not light.

Your laser beam is not aligned, right need to buy some two sided tape and adjust the beam. Plenty of threads on this site about it. Cant help on the other topic Good luck!

it was not a wiring problem it is in the set up array to adjust that. now it will not let me set up the um. working on that will let you know

ok it was not the motor but the driver itself! Now i got the new one in got it all back up and running but..... It now engravers upside down and backwards!!! is this a wiring problem??

the old wires were one color and the new wires are different colors which wire goes to which place? dont want to burn stuff up!!
