Re: Anyone have Prolight 2000 mill parts?

    Thanks, Galane.

I too have had little luck in getting any information on the mill.

I'll dig a little deeper into the circuitry to see if I can identify the cause.

  2. Re: Wiring Schematic for proLIGHT 2000 CNC BenchTop Mill

Do you plan to use the stock servos or replace them? It would be nice if they can be used with Mach 4.
  3. Re: Wiring Schematic for proLIGHT 2000 CNC BenchTop Mill

Thanks. I could use this, as my mill is acting up. I suspect a bad ground somewhere.

Now when a routine ends, holding current is lost to the Z axis servo, causing the milling head to drift...

Re: Anyone have Prolight 2000 mill parts?

When a program is running, all axes track perfectly, never losing position. This suggest that the servos are working properly. It's only when the program ends the controller now seems to remove power...

Re: Repair or Rebuild Prolight 2000?

I just checked my PC's serial port, and it's set to:

COM 1 = 19200 baud, Data Bits 8, Parity None, Stop Bits 1, Flow control Xon/Xoff.

This differs from your settings. Try these out and see if...

Re: Repair or Rebuild Prolight 2000?

The PL2000 just needs a serial port, running their proprietary DOS program. It's not like the earlier versions of ProLight mills that required an interface card in the PC.

    It sounds like you may...
