I look at my CNC and the "X" axis way covers are pictured in the attached photo named "mine". Then I see other machines that have the similar frame/architecture and they have way covers like...

I like the Varidrive myself, but I see how people could feel different... The motor side bushing kit was just under $40. The front bushings were I think about $20. All from Versitech Products in CA....

I have not really been concerned with the speeds... I am just looking for rock solid performance. I have had no issues with the drives, and everything is always cool in the cabinet.

There is absolutely no way to keep the mates between the two packages. The best you can do is in SolidWorks, select every part in the tree and RMB, and select fix. That's the route I normally take....
