Has anyone looked at the Rostock Max at Seemecnc.com? Nicely priced with a large build area but it is a kit that you would have to assemble.
I am thinking about purchasing one.

A product called Garolite, sold by McMaster Carr is supposedly good for sticking the hard to stick materials.
You could try some hair spray on the glass.

How are you coming on the mini delta printer? Are the plans for this mini available anywhere?
Thanks Hoss.
Looks cool Hoss, good job! (as usual)
Are you using the Highly Accessible vertXtruder for J-head from Thingiverse? It's hard to tell from the pictures which one it is.

When you used the Misumi Extrusions did you use the 3mm square nuts from Misumi?
Congrats on getting it completed. Some time spent in calibrating etc and you will have one of the largest build area printers that exist.
I was looking through all the parts you posted on...
Hey Hoss, do you have any experience with Cura? It looks nice but I understand there are issues with the delta printers like the Rostock. Just
wondering if you experimented with it.
I am trying to learn and you are one of the best to learn from. Are you using Pronterface as the front end for repetier instead of repetier host simply because you like it better or does Pronterface...
Where do get those awesome looking bearings with the yellow covers?
Do you plan on sharing the .stl files for the micro with us, the ever begging
public who honor and worship you (that butt kissing...
Didn't the Prusa use all thread, it seemed to work okay.
I guess that since you are using a much larger print area you would need to
use a multistart but those things are so expensive compared to...
If I read the Mitsumi site correctly, I can get 2 meter sections of the 15mm extrusion for $7.50? Are you staying with 8mm rods for the Y axis?
For those of us working on building 3D printers or anyone needing parts,
there is a website called matterhackers.com. You will need the .stl files for the parts you need usually obtained from...
Nice tip! This is the kind of stuff everyone should know but is difficult to obtain except through the school of hard knocks. Thanks!
May I ask why not version 1?
I am looking for someone to print the Rostock 3D printer parts plus
the extruder parts. I prefer these in ABS (red) and will pay via Paypal
if someone can give me a quote. The appropriate STL...
When I edit configuration.h files, notepad just fills the screen with the contents of the file which makes it very hard to find anything.
What would be the best software to use for editing these...
I sure hope you will document its construction along with a parts list,
this is very, very interesting. Thanks Hoss!
The Mendelmax uses 3 different sizes of extrusions.
I have read the scaling info on Mendelmax.com and I am
still confused. I want to make The printers X and Y larger
by 50mm, does this mean...
May I ask what tablet pc you are using to drive the Prusa and is it XP?
I've been thinking about getiing one at Ebay and they have several at less
than $100.
I mean the rigid foam board like this Foamular F-150 2 in. x 48 in. x 8 ft. Scored Squared Edge Foam-45W at The Home Depot
Thanks for keeping your answer simple so that I could understand it.
I didn't think about a second extruder especially because it's hard to
get one to extrude. :-)
When you say pink foam, is that the same stuff they sell for insulation at Home Depot, etc? This foam will hold up outside if it's painted?
Thanks!!
One thing left to clear the fog in my big skull, tiny brain.
The ramps system has the ability to use 5 motor drivers yet every
Prusa setup that I have seen only make use of 4 motor drivers and ...
Could you give me the source and possible part # of the PTFE tube that you used. I would be interested in that conversion but I need to make sure I get the right part to start out with.
This...
Thanks to everyone who answered my post about converting the Prusa to
1.75mm. Hoss was correct about the way the MKIV is drilled out. After
reading how to convert the head I made a logical...
That should work as long as the filament contacts the hobbed bolt.
Thanks for the suggestion. I may consider changing out the extruder if I could find one to fit and accepts the smaller filament.
I have contacted Maker Farm where Hoss bought his Prusa and he tells that he has no way to use 1.75mm filament with his extruder/hot end. Does anyone who owns one of the Prusa printers sold by Maker...
You and others have talked me into it and I bought a Ramps complete kit
with the smd already solderered and the sdramps card. This is for my
H-1 printer. I think I know enough to install the...
