I got my first machine recently and I've been trying to figure out what has been causing the z-axis to be fairly noisy. Like it's catching and jumping .005" at a time. Here's a video...

I just heard back from Chirons Siemens tech and he's saying that the machine just needs the original parameters and settings loaded. I'll be testing the drives later this week hopefully.

Anyway to tell if it's the memory or CPU or is it pretty much guaranteed that they are both fried? Do you think that replacing those would fix the other alarms?

Sounds like it could be expensive.

It's a good thing I have committed to buying the machine.
