Did u get my mail Gerry? :)
Yes, i was thinking of havning both an regular zero Z finder and a centerfinder in alu which i also could use with "simple auto zero" i.e. if i have an square part which i want to find its corner, i...
Ok. Any idea of how to implant the Z zero to the "corner finder" routine? I guess i cant just add that macro in the end? As i said, i have no idea about this writing macro thing:p
Really great solution!
I dont know if its been up in the theread later, but i was thinking about making one of thoes but add the Z zero aswell to the Routine.
Where can i find the macro for this...

I have surfaced the spoilboard and cut in some aluprofiles who will work as holddown...
I saw that the Nexen RPS system was discussed. I use em in my Router which u can find here. I can just tell that its a great linear motion system, quiet and fast. I am really happy with it.

I know how to calculate resistors but im unsure which value i need to get it to play with the pullup resistor on the sensor. On page 4 the values changes if u use a LED so thats what im concerned...
Ye that would be nice, to them its sure like the most obvious thing but for us with no or just minor knowledge it can be some problems in just ordering the parts :P
RomanLini, this is a great thing u have come up with and i feel im gonna try it on my machine. I am very bad with elctronics so i just wondering which values i need on the resistors, im gonna use...
Thank you Madosta.
The only thing i have cutted is the "mdf stipes" under the spoilboards. I have not yet connected any dust system properly so i dont wanna cut that much yet cos the dust really...
No sorry, im not selling plans or anything (yet atleast:P) i just wanted to show a bigger machine. And as the other mention i think a Mechmate or a Joes Hybrid is a good choise if u want a bigger and...
I also build a quite big machine that will fit an entire MDF or plywood sheet. U can find it here
I bought them from Anaheim Automation - Your source for Stepper Motor, Brushless DC Motor, DC Motor, and Planetary Gearbox Products. Both servos and gearboxes, i think the prices is on their site.

Ye, but i figured, what the hell. I wasnt that onto screws and belt wouldnt give me the precision i looked for so i got a tips that i should check out Nexen and i started to design around the RPS and...
Im pretty sure that i have the premium version of the RPS. It was on "sale" when i bought them and their were infact cheaper then standard version.

So the distributers are fu**ing us up :O well its to late for me now to do anything about it, but if i knew this before i ordered i would have tried to bargin some with them. I can only wish u good...
He probably refer the X axis as Y axis which is common around some DIYs out there :)
Thank u all, its very nice to hear such sweet words knowing that i never done anything like this before and its 100% my own design. Very kind of you :)

i recommend that you ask in the Granite Devices forum here on the zone.
Yes i will try a USB hub, the thing with an UPS is a good idea also.
I definitely think that the we gonna solve the problem, it just a matter of when. I will give u a call Tero if nothing...
Hi there.
I bought my servos from http://www.anaheimautomation.com and use servo drives from http://granitedevices.fi . The drives is really nice and they have great support on that too.
That sounds really promising. I will buy a usb hub and try later. I really hope it solves my problems and that i dont need to buy new encoders. Im just curious, how did u come up with that idea? :)
I thought that i gonna put up some more pics on my machine. The project is on ice when i am working cos its about 450 Km from my work to where the machine is so the only time i can work on it is @...
The settings for the motors is alright i think. Checked it several times.
