have you considered getting your motor fixed? I've used Precision Electric Service in the past with great results.. 800 732 4695 At least you would know you have the right motor!

You'll get a lot more help if you identify the machine make and model. And give some more information on your problem. Smart guys are on here, but not too many mind readers.
I would not ground the DC power to the cabinet. It's just asking for problems. I keep all my DC circuitry isolated from the high voltage.
sorry to hijack your thread, but I have a question for MManch001. Do you represent electricians and mechanics? I'm looking for someone well versed in industrial electrical and mechanical work. Please...
I don't get the fudge factor? If there's any fudging going on, you had better be using a tension / compression holder. I use those on my Haas VF4, even tho it does have rigid tapping. I feel they...
buy prox cables from Automationdirect ( they're cheap) cut the plug off, solder and heat shrink and you're done. Colors match
I like OneCNC. No subscription, good drawing ability, and good cam side. The very best support from Patrick at OneCNC West, just runs, no problems.
I don't use Inventor or HSM, but I've always been told that when using a 4th axis, program to the center of the part as zero. I can't remember the explanation, but I remember that when I try using...
Ontario where? If you're in California, try Steves machine repair 310 719 2027
tighten them up. There's no detent. Clean everything well before putting it together.
probably get a little more results if you mentioned where your hiring, and how much you're paying, and maybe job requirements
If you can re-use your servo motors and drives, Delta Tau makes a good cnc control that's not hobby grade. Really a good control. Steep learning curve, but worth it.
I use CLR from Home Cheapo.
Delta Tau can close the loop in the controller. I imagine Galil can do that also. I think there are plug-ins for Galil
I had one damaged by popping into the cnc spindle when the tool release button was released, the tool holder wasn't properly lined up. The dial wouldn't read at zero any longer. So I sent it to...
the bar is for calibration. Lay it across the piston and the side of the setter, pushing it all the way down. The dial indicator should read zero. Put the setter on top of your part and bring the...
I use Mastercam for everything except 4 th axis work, and for that I use OneCNC which does 4th axis so well, and easily, with a great visualation too! I suppose it's pretty good for all the flat...
Peter, can't you use the chook postupdate ( or something like that) to get your version 9 post to work on MCX?
I have the discs for an AP500 Mk. 25. I have no idea how to copy them. I'm not too sure the floppy drive in my machine even works anymore, I haven't tried it in years. I'd be happy to help you if you...
In the packaging industry, pressure forming is one of the ways that blister cards are formed. We use pressure, just shop air, the top pressure plate just has a 1/8 o ring around the od, the forms we...
Or get a pantograph. It's not cnc, but they have made thousands of stamp punches over the years. And maybe within your budget.
Try OneCNC. Way better price than Mastercam and Far superior support. Call Patrick at OneCNC west for a demo. Their post processor is super easy to modify, and Patrick will gladly help you out if you...
Anaheim automation makes stepper drivers that can take a user supplied program, and run it over and over, with or without a user input to start it.
If you can power it up with no errors, you probably still have the parameters. Jog it around, listen for any funny noises. Run the spindle at different RPM's and listen for any funny noises. If you...
My plasma torches were always air cooled. Water cooled sounds like a good idea, maybe complicated tho. The grill under the sheet is expendable, expect to replace the slats occasionally.
Probably won't work without the dongle. Install it and see.
I think you'ld want your clamp and un clamp to be modal M codes, active only when your 4th axis is installed. If you're doing 4th axis continuous machining, you don't want to set and unset the brake...
I'm a huge fan of OneCNC. If you have any questions, call Patrick at OneCNC West. He is the bomb when needing help on this program. He may even save you some money buying it. His support is superb!
I'm sure it would be a HRT210. In the settings you need to specify the radius or diameter of the part. Maybe that will help.
