This is a EuroTech/Biglia machine with a Fanuc 18i-t control.
Shut down normally last night with no alarms. This morning after powering up we're getting getting "Alarm 774 SPINDLE-3 ABNORMAL...
wizard,
It's a single line system that should vent the line pressure back into the res when the pump is turned off. These use a little quick exhaust valve on the pump outlet.

It's...
russormrod,
I did talk to Eurotech and they were helpful, but they only stock the entire pump assembly, which is in good condition aside from the rubber seal. We were able to contact Technosystems...
Well. It looks like the rubber diaphragm on the dump/exhaust valve is bad, which is preventing the oil in the lines from returning to the res.
Having a lubrication issue with an '03 735SL-Y (GMK 3092):
We were getting Alarm 1021 (Lubrication Pressure Operated Cut-Off Switch Defective). We replaced the pressure switch just in case, but...
Do you know if the UFS option can be added at a later time?
Thanks for the input. I picked the Boss 1-7 kit with spindle speed and power supplies. I'll need to order a VFD with it too. I haven't decided on the dedicated control pad or MPG.
I don't mind if...
I called Ajax. It seems like it has everything I need and cuts out the need to track everything down. As far as I can tell, I just need to unbolt one of the old steppers to make sure it matches the...
So it looks like the Ajax kit is the way to go. I read this thread and had second thoughts about using the original steppers anyway:

I'm a little confused as to how the spindle control works with both the Mach and Ajax systems.
The Ajax setup uses a PLC to manage the original spindle speed and brake controls. I'm not sure how...
Thanks.
I liked the idea of the servo motors in the Ajax kit. I was looking at getting their example kit, less the pendant. I saw in their guide that I can reuse the old control boxes and they...
I had another thread going which I think I took in the wrong direction. I spent last night trying to sort through what I have to work with and what I can do with it.
This probably seems stupid,...
I haven't really done anything with this in a few months, but I know it was working aside from the fuse problems. It would run for a while, then quit.
Is there anything from the old controls I...
I know this is an old thread, but I'm still working on this project and I'm just starting to make progress. I had to re-arrange the budget to account for a new driveway and removal of a swimming...
So I posted this thread a while ago: http://cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29579
I held off on the Grizzly. Since then I was given this Bridgeport CNC with some extras in a box:...
I was just wondering if anyone had designed a hybrid manual/cnc using electronic control since the servos/steppers are already in place. Seems like some operator feedback would be needed (like a...
Thanks for the help. I'm sorta lost when it comes to machining. I've been looking at the Grizzly models and my brother and I decided to split it. We can stretch the budget a little since it's worth...
I'm just getting started in machining and I'll be taking a few classes at the local community college (I might as well since it's free). My brother and I wanted to get a small setup for use/practice...
